It is a fan-given name as substitute for lack thereof, and should not be considered as part of the Attack on Titan universe.
This woman appears to be a young adult with short blonde hair and bright eyes.
In Titan form, it is about 6-7 meters tall, has a very large head for its body size, a mouth with constantly exposed teeth, and short blond hair similar to its human form. It was also seen standing on all fours at certain times.
As a member of the cult of Ymir Fritz, this woman worshiped a girl by the name of Ymir who was brought into the cult by its leader. However, when the cult was discovered by the Public Security Authorities of Marley, the woman was taken through the streets with the rest of the cultists and Ymir herself until they were sent overseas to the borderline of Paradis, where they were all turned into mindless Titans.
During the 34th expedition beyond the Walls as Ilse Langnar flees towards human territory, this Titan finds her and corners her against a tree. Rather than eating her, it instead stares at her until, to her amazement, it speaks. The talking Titan speaks of her as "a subject of Ymir" and afterwards addresses her as "Lady Ymir" before greeting her with a formal bow. As Ilse begins to question the Talking Titan of its origins and purpose, the Titan becomes increasingly uncomfortable, groaning and eventually pulling at the skin of its own face. As Ilse becomes afraid and flees, the Talking Titan grabs her and crushes her head in its jaws, killing her. As she dies, the Talking Titan begins to weep.
While the exact fate of the talking Titan is unknown, the lands of Wall Maria were confirmed to be Titan-free shortly after the Battle of Shiganshina District, meaning that this Titan must have died at some point between its encounter with Ilse and Wall Maria's reclamation.
This Titan is able to speak words with meaning to Ilse Langnar. It also can display emotions which regular Titans lack, such as reverence, anguish, and perhaps fear.
- This Titan is the first Titan shown to speak words with meaning.
- This Titan is the only common Titan seen so far that displays a range of emotions.
- It is only ever seen killing or attempting to kill its victims head first.
