  • You know that very last part where it shows a bunch of dinosaurs running alongside Zeke in Titan form? I don't get it.

    • Is it supposeed to mean anything?

    • Me confused too.

Maybe is a sneak peak to a Power ranger spin off? a Jurassic park crossover?

      o.O

My first impression was that maybe the nine titans took after those animals characteristics but then I counted eleven so maybe this is a......

    • I don't think it has anything to do with the show, it's just for imagery

    • I don't get why I'm seeing so many people go nuts over that part of the OP.

I mean really, calm down. It's probably meant to be symbolism of sorts, the Beast Titan leading an army of...well, giant beasts more or less.

    • They reveald in the end credits the first Ymir, even since this part is far away in future episodes. Maybe Isayama has another secret that is still not reveald in public but the anime creators know it. And they want to smuggle some Easter Eggs for fun.

    • This is a metaphor. Evolution against humanity (people's time is over, titans rules)

It is not the X-men. Evolution has nothing to this. We know very well there's human (Eldian) vs. human (Marley) and titans are just a fanciful weapon.

    • I haven't seen the episode yet as I'm waiting for all of them to be released so I can binge watch them. So going out with no knowledge what so ever i would say maybe the dinosaurs represent each titan power in a way e.g T-rex possibly Eren titan, a tall dinosaur the Collsoal titan like I said I haven't seen anything so dno what dinosaurs or how many were shown.

Alternatively, it could be to show he's more of a leader the titan equivalent to Erwin if you wish. Sorry if I'm going on a long shot here and talking nonsense and I don't mind spoilers.

I believe the english translation is called "Shinzo wo Sasageyo", Correct? Does that mean "Dedicate Your Hearts", or "Sacrifice Yourself"? Maybe all of those animals are meant to symbolise life, and how you have to fight and sacrifice things to live. The multiple species would signify how each living being in the wild or not has to fight for food, resources, etc. just to survive. So this is my opinion on the "Dinosaurs, whales, and chameleons, Oh my!!" opening. I really did like this opening, to be honest. Its my 2nd favorite out of the three.

    • I only hope it doesnt foreshadow dinosaur fillers.

    • Probably it shows the connection between Titans and living beings in the world? I am pretty sure the manga talked about it before..

    • Well not really relevant with the question but I am just curious about a pair of hands in the intro. They looks like an adult and a baby hand. I thought they are Erend and his mom, but it looks like the adult is wearing a military uniform, so I am not sure..

Or am I imagining stuf.... -_-

    • Maybe it will show the Origin of the titan how they were created.

        Loading editor
    • That's a bit farfetched. I assume the creators were like, "The Beast Titan is YUUUGGGEEE! Know what else is YUGGGE?! A T-Rex! And a whale! And dinosaurs!"

    • It's obviously a teaser for the upcoming Jurassic World 2 movie this time instead of the Indominus Rex they will have Harambe on steroids.

    • It really depends on the way you view the whole Titan thing. I personally think it's supposed to convey that all things in the world are alive- humans, dinosaurs,whales..even Titans...hence..the beating hearts metaphor...
Or...if you don't buy the "metaphor" theory...then it is just there to give you an estimate of how big the titans are by comparing them to big animals yaay

    • It shows the war between the Marley and Elodians and the first Ymir making the deal with the devil to inherit the Titan powers and use them to destroy the Marley and then the Marley gets some of the powers so a group of the Elodians, the ones walking at the very end, are he ones who escaped to Paradi Island and the big Titans are the ones in the wall in which the king threatened to unleash if the marley came to the island. Let me know if you need further explaining. Sorry for the spoilers. I read the manga I literally know everything.

    • Hmm'kay? Most of us here are up to date with the manga already. Not sure why you felt the need to bring that bit up. But I will give you an B+ for the theory though.

    • SPOILER:

What if every titan shifters and former titan shifters owners who are mentionned represents a titan ? I mean, there are clues as :

      - A dinosaur bites another one at the neck for a frame and then the next one shows Ymir's titan biting a titan's neck, as Ymir owns "Jaws" (this is the only name given for this titan at the moment) and the main weapon of a T-Rex are its jaws, few seconds later, we can see a T-Rex next to Zeke/Sieg.

      - Eren is fighting Reiner which are respectively Offensive Titan and Armored Titan, before panthers (I guess) are attacking a Buffalo. And panthers are known for their aggressiveness as buffalos for their tough skin, also we can see at the very right of the animal group (from backwards) a tiger that could be related to the panthers, and an hippo in the middle-right that can also be related to the buffalo.

      - (This one is pure guesssing) but the whale is the biggest animal alive, and it could be related to the Colossal Titan.

      - We can also see a dromedary on the right, which is known for carrying things, and during the great fight, Zeke/Sieg will need Pieck, the "Cartman" who will carry the boulders Zeke will throw.

With all these things said, I hope you guys will like this theory and help me complete it if you also read the scans !

    • SPOLIERS:

I think maybe it means the titans and represents? LIke Annie and Erens fathers are both titans right? I think they are the two aniimals in the air. I think Annie is the giraffe , strong and fast ,  Berholdt and reiner the T-rex and Rhino/hippo thing respectivaly , Eren is the Elephant slow and strong , Ymir the raptor small quick vicious(?) the Parasaurolophus and Gecko I don't know , maybe they are 2 more titan shifters? or like important ones or unlike Erens brother Zeke they are good. LIke they are related to other people who are tittans who are evil

    • It could mean that the beast titan or titans in general have been around since the dawn of dinosaurs or even farther than that, the begging of the world.

        Loading editor
    • All of the humans, titans, and animals had glowing red hearts. I belive that that represents "the source of all organic lifr" that Ymir had found to become and create titans

        Loading editor
    • I don't think it represents the titans or titan shifters, there are too many holes in that theory in my opinion. I think it's about cruelty, like the example Mikasa gave when she realized how cruel the world is when she watched the Praying Mantis eat the Butterfly, its no different when the dinosaurs are eating each other, and how titans eat humans.
