Titans (巨人 Kyojin?, lit. "Giant(s)") are the second species in the Attack on Titan: Junior High anime series. The Titans from Attack Junior High School are typically despised or feared by the human students of said school.

Appearance

Titans largely resemble nude human beings. They are typically bipedal with the limbs and features one would expect in humans; however, they are all deformed to some extent in body proportions (enlarged head, small limbs, etc.). Many Titans have exceptionally wide mouths with an array of square teeth. The vast majority of Titans have a masculine body shape, although all of them lack reproductive organs. Titans stand with heights range from 2 meters to over 10.

Titans, almost universally, have exceptionally wide mouths with an enormous number of small, square teeth. Although some only possess canines, a majority of Titans lack them. In all likelihood, they have and use incisors for their primary activity: eating human food. Titans do not possess a complete or functioning digestive tract, and merely have a stomach-like cavity that eventually fills up with what they swallow. After consuming a certain amount, they would be forced to regurgitate and empty out the cavity before they can eat more human foods.

Behavior

Titans are mainly seen stealing food from humans. Aside from that, it appears that Titans are able to learn and communicate in their own way contrary to popular belief. It is noted that there are Titan language classes, and so even humans can communicate with Titans. This behavior is exhibited when Annie Leonhart goes and speaks in Titan language with another Titan and they appear to get along as friends.[1]

Titans also have a variety of personalities much like humans. They have feelings and intelligence, and are capable of writing letters in addition to that.
