Too much censorship

In my opinion, there is just a bit too much censorship in the anime. One of the selling points of Attack on Titan(at least for me) was that it was really dark and gruesome.  I wish the animation studio was able to take a few more risks when animating certain death scenes. Having AoT being turned into an anime gave them the opportunity to put scenes into motion instead of the panel by panel experience we get in the manga. One of this was Miche's death. Don't get me wrong, his death is still pretty gruesome but the fact that they only showed certain aspects of his death and then showed him getting ripped apart in black and red partially took away from the message that the world of AoT is truly terrifying and a living nightmare. A few more examples of deaths I feel weren't explored enough are Eren's mother's, Marco's and that kid who was with Reiner and Bert that Ymir ate as a mindless titan. Maybe AoT isn't supposed to be as gruesome as I feel it should be but I can't help thinking that maybe studio was afraid of showing the deaths in more detail or that they wouldn't be able to air the show on tv if they had made it more gruesome. It would be nice if someday the studio went back and sold a blu-ray disk where certain scenes were reanimated to show deaths in their entirety.
